I had the privilege of working at Harmony Care for over five years, starting as a Centre Manager and progressing to Regional Manager, and eventually to Head of Care. Throughout my time with the company, I have experienced incredible professional growth and have had the opportunity to be part of a team that truly prioritizes the well-being and quality of life for our residents.

When I first joined Harmony Care, I was deeply inspired by the company’s commitment to providing exceptional care in a supportive and nurturing environment. Becoming Head of Care was a natural progression, where I could focus on shaping the overarching vision and strategy for the care we deliver. I am incredibly proud of the work we’ve done to elevate the standards of care, implementing innovative practices and ensuring that every resident’s needs are met with compassion, dignity, and respect.

I’ve had the privilege of working at Harmony Care since 2017, and my journey here has been incredibly fulfilling. I began my career as a Social Care Leader. Over the years, I have had the opportunity to take on increasingly senior roles, including Social Care Manager, Regional Manager, and Senior Quality Assurance Manager. Most recently, I have been honoured to step into the position of Head of Quality, Risk, and Practice.

What makes my experience at Harmony Care so special is not only the incredible progression I’ve had but also the amazing colleagues I’ve worked alongside. Before joining Harmony I thought long and hard about changing careers after a particularly difficult period of my career. I took a chance on Harmony. From my first interview I was greeted with positivity and felt great afterwards. When I came to Mosse I felt instantly part of a family.

The atmosphere was so positive the minute I stepped in the door. The staff were fun, humorous, and most importantly cared about the YP in the centre. I settled in really well and instead of being apprehensive coming to work every day, I was enthusiastic to engage with everyone.

My managers knew of my ambition to join the management team in Harmony. They could of easily focused on staff they knew had intentions of staying but instead they did their utmost to give me an insight into all things management and help me develop for when an opportunity came. I can’t thank them enough for that. I have just moved into my management role and it’s given me a new perspective on social care.

I don’t feel like a body coming into work trying to stop bad things from happening. I really feel that I’m coming in every day with the opportunity to make a real difference for each of the young people in my centre. It’s the first time in a long time I’ve felt this positive in a job. I’m grateful for the communication and advice with each person from team members to management that have made me feel this way. Since starting in Harmony Care, I have had the privilege of working alongside many incredible teams of social care workers. The most rewarding aspect of my role has been working directly with young people; supporting and empowering them to reach their full potential.

Since joining Harmony care, I have been made feel like such a part of the team already. It is a great environment to work in, everyone in head office is very approachable and friendly, & having met a few of the managers and deputy managers of some of the house I have also found them to be so friendly and helpful and patient with me while I learn the ways of Harmony Care.

In my role, I was given range to change and amend things around to make daily accounts for everyone internally much easier, with a lot of scope and plans on the way for 2025, I look forward to being part of this exciting journey with everyone involved.

Since joining the company as a Recruitment Manager in November 2024, my experience has been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling and I immediately felt like I was part of something larger than just a workplace.

I commenced working in Harmony in January 2019 as a Social Care Worker. I then progressed to Social Care Leader, followed by progressing to Deputy Manager and now to Social Care Manager. I am now 6 years in service. In Harmony, all team members support each other grow not only as a professional, but also as a person. The dedication is evident by each team member, with all having the same goal to deliver high quality of care to our residents. I would highly recommend Harmony as a place to work.

I have been working within Harmony Care since 2021, I joined the company as a Social Care Manager and managed the preparation for leaving care centre for just over 3 years. I thoroughly enjoyed working within this role and seeing the programme help young people develop their life skills and be prepared for when they age out of care. I have progressed within the organisation to the role of Quality Assurance Manager and now I have the pleasure of helping all the centres to provide the highest quality of care to all our young people in the organisation. Every day, I have the privilege of making a difference in the lives of the young people who rely on compassionate support and quality care. My name is Emma Delaney, I have been working with HRC since October ’23.

I started off as a Social Care Worker in Harmony’s children’s residential service and progressed to a Team Leader in the Aftercare service.

I really enjoy working with children and young adults in the service, who are all amazing.

The senior management, management and staff are all so kind at offering assistance to each other and supporting each other.

Harmony promotes communication and the managers are very friendly and approachable.
